Thinking obout trading my My 95 ext for a 72 c/10 with air and a motor out of 93 but carb plus he will give me 1000 with buckets 1500 without buckets seats. It looks sharpre and it very staight. claims it werth 10,000 or better. Please give me some feed back. My wife will let me do it but said that was it when I can,t get any more. that means no blazer when my prodject gets done.

if the 72 is real nice and done correctly i'd say go for it. your 95 loses value daily and a clean 72 gains in value. i'd check the 72 over very close to make sure it's not a bondo beast with lots of hidden problems.

If it is a daily driver, make sure it'l drive every day. Nothing sucks more than thrashing just to get to work the next day.
Otherwise, and asuming it is not the aformntioned bondo beater...I'd go for it.

Lot's of people claim that their trucks are worth over $10,000. Its mostly bunk. For something to be worth over 10K, the work would have to be done by a real pro, excellent wiring (wiring problems STINK!) with a very solid motor/tranny. Then its worth well over $10,000. Regardless, a loaded '72 in excellent condition is worth quite a bit.

If you are thinking of doing this, take your time, you'll be very glad you did. There's no shortage of trucks for sale, you just need to look at all of the on-line classifieds. There are a few that link to most of the country's newspaper's classified adds. Even if you need to take a long trip somewhere, its worth it to be careful when its your daily driver, as said before.

There are big differences in rebuild qualities. If you're not a pro, go to someone who is and have them take a very close look at it and listen to their advice. I'm a desk jocky and beg for advice quite a bit, its a bit embarresing sometimes, but when you don't know, you ask. People on this board are the best resource.

I just went through this with a '72 suburban and took 8 months to find the right one for the right price. During that time, I noticed at least 6 'burbs that were offered for $9,000 and up that didn't sell. They all looked great on the outside, but had minor "problems".

My 2 cents.
