Longhorn bed

Just in I'll parting the rest of the truck in a couple weeks, this thread is for bed only. It has some rust behind driver rear tire and also small spot of rust behind pass tire. Pass rear quarter has some dents but all are fixable. A few other small dings in it but not many. Front panel has a dent. No other rust than the 2 spots I have pics of. $200 Thanks Randy

Re: Longhorn bed

Thanks Mike, I've only had 4 or 5 through the years but none as good of shape as this one.
Also THANKS for working with me on the front clip, I had a little accident unloading it out of the longhorn by myself and ended up bending up one of those NOS hinges unfortunately, I was po'd

Nice. It's very hard to come across one without the dealer fuel doors cut out.

Randy
If you decide to part I would like the bed trim and the splash guards. Do you have a passenger side splash guard for the bed?

Re: Longhorn bed

Say, just to make you guys jealous, I have three Longhorn beds in my yard. One is sitting on a 72 Super frame, this one has the tool storage box plus the factory aux. fuel tank. Very little to no rust. It's going on my 71 project truck. The one on that truck will go on my 70 project truck, a few years down the road. The one on the 70 truck will more that likely get parted out, or scrapped. Any one in the local Portland Oregon area looking for a good Longhorn frame?

Don't pull that trim! Having that is what makes this bed appealing to me. Wish I could come grab it.

I dont think it's still there due to a lack of interest or unreasonable pricing, I need a longhorn bed and would gladly give the asking price but I live 9 hours away in TN. It would cost me three times that much to drive out there and get it. ...assuming I could get the the time off to do so.

Re: Longhorn bed

Post which bed side you need and I look and see which 6 inch side I have. You can add it to an eight foot bed side to make a Long horn bed side. I did this for one of my Long Horns.

Dang Randy,
At that price I'd make a bed trailer out of it and haul/store wheels and tires in it. Or... Use it to take your wares to the swap meets.

I could maybe haul between KS and MN if someone is serious. Randy, do you think I'd have room? Maybe if the topper will fit on my HD?
