Talking Beautiful day here...got a little done on the project

Great weather today...sun shining but, not too hot.
Took a patch out of the bad section that I bought the patch for (see Got My First Patch Panel) and cut a patch to cover the old gas inlet. I'll be buying a Hagan gas door/housing to weld into the back left corner. Pulled out one of the back fenders and sanded it completely down inside and out. There was a small section of rust through in one spot where the fender was bolted to the body. Cut it out and cut a piece to weld in. All of my welding is on hold until I get some gas for the MIG. Started sanding on the other fender but, I was asked to stop and cook some steaks on the grill...NO PROBLEM!
Long day though. This truck has four layers of paint, original primer, dark blue, white then, the gold on top. I've been cutting through it with just a 6" round sander. Slow going but, it's cool to see the metal shine when you get it all off.
Here's my patch for the gas inlet...

Looks good, I used a marine type filler on my 55' panel. It's recessed into the right rear panel. I really like your truck! Shaun
