Again, nice stance... Looks dead on with the wheel/tire combo... Also, on the wheels... Are those the skinny "Van" ralley's in the front w/ the truck ralley's in the rear? Tire sizes please I also see that you are runnin' the later 88+ center caps, what did you do there???

Thanks in advance!
Joe

sorry for the delay

here's the scoop:

1. wheels and tires - 15X7 front with 245/60/15 Cooper Cobras & 15X8 rear with 275/60/15 Cooper Cobras, fronts came off mid '70's full size and the rears came off an '83 suburban, the trim rings and caps are 88 - 98 style and I had to get special lug nuts to make the caps work, I got them at the Moultrie swap meet but I can't find the guy's number to get more, if any of you know how to get some, let me know

2. stance - 2.5" drop spindles from mcGaughey's, 2 inch springs in front from AIM, I bought the rear 4" springs from GMCPaul's and they were supposed to be heavy-duty and paid mucho dinero for these springs but when I got the box these things were standard truck springs drop shipped from AIM @#?!!. I like the stance, but the rear is riding on the rear end bumpers. i don't have a c-notch, yet!

3. tint - PO put on the limo tint and you can't see a thing through those windows from the outside. they just changed the laws here in Georgia on tint, i'm just waiting for them to pull me over.

4. future plans - I'm planning to bag it, get some 20" shoes, put on a '68 front clip and paint the body '68 chevy baby blue with a white top.

I love this truck. Everybody that knows me in town call it the "hearse". They think it's pretty funny because it doesn't look like what an attorney would drive.

color

that looks like the color. if you'll notice, my sub has the trim that runs all the way around the truck under the windows. that will be my dividing line. i plan on paint the white from trim up including in between the windows. thanks for the pic.

oh, btw, bagged91, the van rallys are 15X6 just FYI.

In case you weren't aware, two tone Burbs that had the trim under the windows were painted the way Long Roof's looks (not sure about the rear hatch though, mine has barn doors). The two tone upper dividing line on the sides was the drip rail. At least with barn doors, the dividing line on the rear was the trim below the windows.

When mine was repainted, I removed the upper trim and had the clip holes welded, but kept the same two tone paint scheme (green and white). I think it works well even without the trim, and now I don't have to worry about water leaking in from the huge clip holes like it used to! Just my $.02...

paint scheme

stock is not what i'm after. maybe I can divide the colors with a pinstripe instead of the trim and fill the holes. it'll probably been cleaner. i want it really smooth with a minimum of chrome and trim except for the front and rear bumpers and the grill trim. thanks for the tip. tripp

The "hearse," lol. At least that's better than "ambulance chaser." j/k

Great burb. Now attack that rust before it gets worse. BTW, did you hear that GMC Pauls sells third door rockers? Not where you hoped to find them, I expect, but at least they're available.

Here's a shot of mine, not the greatest angle to show the two tone, but it's the only one I have handy right now...
