Don't let your kid drive.
Didn't know where to post this, so I figured I'd start here. My cousins 68 short stepside was damaged a week ago when his son decided to move the family van, and stepped on the gas instead of the brake. Hope the pictures show it good. The truck is going to be repaired and after its done it'llbe on the road when the sun shines. Thought I'd throw some pics of the rest of the truck too.

Re: Don't let your kid drive.
I let my 17 yr. old son drive my '72 Cheyenne Super from time to time. He's pretty good driver and he knows how much I love that truck. Last summer I let him take it out somewhere. Our best friends were over for the evening. He backed out of the driveway and hit their driver's door. Not one bit of damage to my truck (thus, my son lives) but their Avalon sustained a dent to the door to the tune of 800 bucks. At the lowly wage of $6.50 per hour, it will take Nelson quite a while to repay me for the cash I had to lay out for our friends.
