Anybody else having this problem?

I am in the west central area of NC where the temps have been mostly in the mid 90's with high humidity lately. The problem I have is after wotking in the heat all day (5:30am to approx. 3:00pm) With no A/C in the garage I just can not get motivated to work on my truck when I get home. Seems like alot of you guys are in the southwest where I am sure its hotter.. So do any of you guys have the same problem as I do? But I have gotten this far.....

Dont feel like the lone ranger its super hot in south georgia with %100 humidity. I feel your pain i just dont want to even go in the garage in the afternoon. i feel better in here on the computer in the a/c

I'm a IT network administrator so behind a desk all day so when I get home and on weekends I am stoked to get outside. Here in east TX it stays humid but so far this summer hasn't been to bad a few 115 degree days as opposed to last summer where it stayed there all summer. Once I get going I don't like to stop.

I hear you, same here even in Ontario Canada. Been a hot dry summer, saying hottest July on record since the 1930's. My truck not finished yet but road worthy, so on days like today we jump in and head to cruise night at beach. Sauble Beach on the east shore of Lake Huron home of some amasing sunsets.

i work in industrial maintenance in oklahoma with no ac. its a floor tile plant and i work the press department with huge dryers so my area of work is anywhere from 90 to 130 degrees in the summer time so im pretty used to the heat... but i still have a hard time wanting to get out in the heat when im not at work!!!! lol so ya i feel ur pain.. but i do have ac in my tiny shop though =)

btw looks like ur making good progress though so just try to keep at it and picture the outcome!!! i try not to think bout all the work i still have to do. instead i just dream bout how it will be when im done!!!

Im only a few hours from you in Fayetteville, NC and have felt many 100+ degree days this year. Including today with a heat index of 111.

It's happening here in Michigan too! It was 99 degrees yesterday and very humid. No rain and the lawns are brown.

It does seem like it's all over the country. I'm just outside of Atlanta and work in my shop all day with no AC, if I go inside after finishing my day I'm finished but if I stay outside and work on the truck for a bit it's not too bad since I'm already used to it. I changed cloths twice last Sat. while working on it.

same here and its not even as close to as hot as where you guys are. but i have to work on my truck outside in the sun. no garage, so it makes it easy to not work on it. i drive it everydah so i have to maintain it ,but i have soo many plans for it that i keep holding off due to heat

Yeah, I have no interest in working on my truck in this heat. My plan with my truck is to work on it in the fall, through the winter and spring and finish whatever I am working on so I can drive it in the summer.

I own a document shredding truck and stand right next to 120 degree back flow from the fans and engine all day. Trust me when I tell you that in Arizona when it is 105-110, that other 10 to 15 degrees is a killer.

Best way to lose 6 to 10 pounds in a day is come work with me in the summertime.

I have AC in my shop,but after getting our electric bill my "Book Keeper" said No AC in garage! By january we'll forget all about this stuff.

Been consistantly 95 to 105 degrees here for 2 weeks with about 40 to 60% humidity. Gotta love the Midwest in the summer! LOL

I got a 3 foot industrial exhaust fan in the gable, still too hot to do anything after work-shop was over 100 inside at 6PM a while back.

I wear long sleeves so the sweat helps keep body cool. After putting my air ride on last week I looked light I just got out of the pool, smelled pretty bad also. Humidity is 40 to 60% here also.

I'm with you on the heat being draining. I'm thinking about changing from working 8am to 5pm, to working 12am to 9am. That way I'd be sleeping during the worst of the heat, and working when its in the mid 70's at night.

Either that, or start doing the wetsanding with a sprinkler and a bathing suit to cool off.

Okay, need to lose 60 lbs. Let's say I lose at the 6 lbs. per day rate, I'll come over and work 10 days but I better lose that or I'll be

Im in AZ and it 95+ all day and some time's in the day gets to be 110ish. I dont wanna do anything in this kind of heat

man i wish we could get some of that arizona dry heat!!!!!!! i would take 110 with no humidity vs 90 and 70% humidity anyday... i really feel sorry for you guys in the southern states!!!

Spent 41 years in Fresno, Calif. 100 - 109 not uncommon at all, lived thru it with a swamp cooler. Moved to the mid-atlantic 14 years ago, 95+ is uncommon here but when it's 80 and 70+% humidty it's worse than Fresno ever was.

Air cond. is the only way to fly well until you lose power for 7 days in July

it does not get much hotter than Phoenix. for 4 months the temp is over a 100 and much of that time its 107-112 and can go higher once in awhile. i have my little Go-Ped shop out back and its brutal out there. my motivation is my apprentice. i find when i have somebody with the same passion i overlook the heat and share the work load and train him at the same time. it gives me great satisfaction knowing im helping a teenager stay out of trouble and teaching him a skill while getting so much done because with him around i want to do more work.
