using paint products w/cold weather coming?...heat the garage?

mostly eastwood products: copper weld thru primer, chassis extreme primer, chassis extreme black, Max 2K epoxy primer, rust encapsulator, rust converter, etc.

most are rattle can. and most say 70 deg min temperature.

what are the drawbacks of using there products in lower temps? eastwood claims moisture uptake due to longer cure/drying times.

do i really need to heat the garage?

Not familiar with the products you're using, however, the spray can stuff will eventually dry in cooler weather.
The problem would be with the 2 part products that won't cure properly in lower temperatures and actually if it is too cold they won't cure at all.
The Permatex Rust Converter that I use does not like cold weather.

cold will affect the chemical adhesion of most paint products. it will dry eventually but won't bond properly. air doesn't have to be hot but the metal and the paint should be warm enough. IR bake lights can be had for cheep and make a big difference spraying stuff in the cold. Also most paint goes bad if it gets frozen so store it somwhere it won't freze. if it's just spray bombing though, warm what your painting up bit with a heat gun and run the rattle can under a hot water tap for a few mins and it should adhere well.
