truck covers
Who uses truck covers? I keep my truck outside n need to get one that will withstand the elements. any suggestions? who makes a good one?
ive been looking at LMC and truckandcarshops, looked at a few others like JC Whitney but ruled em out because they look cheap and bad reviews. heres links to the LMC and TruckandCarShop ones http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cbe/full.aspx?page=46 http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks60_72/t60_138.html anyone used these? if so what do you think? the TruckandCarShop higher end one is $235 which seems like a lot, but im not opposed to spending that much, i just want the best protection, not something cheap thats gonna rip. another thought, i got these huge mirrors on my truck and huge bumpers (see pictures). will they fit under the cover? I could loosen the mirrors and fold em in when putting it on i guess but would become a PITA,i drive mine basically daily close to 6 months a year thanks for your thoughts and advice |

Re: truck covers
I bought one from California Car Cover about 15 years ago to protect a fresh black lacquer paint job. It is a version intended for indoor use and did its job well. It fit perfectly, is very durable, easy to install/remove, and never left a mark on the paint. It remains looking like new, partially because it doesn’t get used very often any more.
CCC covers are expensive but in my opinion they represent one of the few products where you actually get what you pay for. |
