question about painting
I am going to be painting my 87 Silverado. The paint between the bed and cab is in fair condition. I really don't want to remove the bed, but I am not sure how it would look painting it with the bed in place. thoughts, opinions?

Re: question about painting
I did this exact thing... Just change the pattern on the gun and lower the psi and you will be able to get behind the bed enough where you will not be able to tell...
I did this because the paint was probably dull but no rot or any damage so I was not about to remove it when I didn't need to... plus the space concerns of where to put it once it was off.

Re: question about painting
how nice do you want your truck? removing the box is kind of a pain. but it doesnt have to come all the way off, if you remove rear bumper and rear wheels it can be slid back enough to get access to prepare the old paint properly. it needs to be sanded dull or the paint will peel. worth the extra time in my opinion.
