1981 K10 Drop Pitman Needed

Have a 3 inch body and 3 in suspension.

Is there a Certian Drop pitman I need?

Steering is popping and I think reason is because the drag links are no horizontal and its putting a bind on the joints!

I'd look for the drop pitman arm. I just removed my stock steering arm what a pain. I had to weld the nuts to the studs and remove the studs to get the arm off, I orderd new studs from http://mad4wd.com/index.php?main_pag...roducts_id=268

Yes the raised steering arm moves it up back level, they say its good for 4in to 6in of lift. The drop pitman arm lowers the drag link back down but they say is not a good way to go if you have more then 4in of lift.

Re: 1981 K10 Drop Pitman Needed

Try removing the steering arm first before you go with the stud kit, I had to because I ended up I had to weld a nut to the studs to get the arm off. Take the nuts off the steering arm, put some rust buster on the studs and coned washers then beat on it a few times with a BFH! Hopefully it loosened the coned washers enough that you can get a pair of pliers on them and wiggle them loose the rest of the way, the coned washera are not threaded on but you may have to loosen them like they are because of rust. Hopefully I made sense and can help.
