how to change tbi distributor

hey guys, when you change out a tbi distributor for a new one, isnt there something your supposed to unplug, time it, then plug it back in?...i'm alittle rusty, thanks

Yes, there is a black/brown wire on the firewall. Unplug that before setting the timing, then plug back in.

Yes, here is a picture of where mine is, Under the Brake Booster , on the firewall.

Most of the time that wire is either on the passenger side firewall or inside under the passenger side dash

Wow, Inside the truck? Iv'e never seen that before, Just remembered the engine label on the stock core support tells info about the wire also.
