Is This Just a Stocker?

I'm now to a point I know what is "extra". This steering wheel came in one of the cabs and I don't remember which one.
It seems like leather. But it's probably something else. It feels "padded. One little blem keeps it from being cherry.

I don't really know what to do with it. But I don't want it to go to "waste".

More pics later on smugmug if these suck.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

I am pretty sure that is a 90's model S10 stock steering wheel.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

It's an 88-94 (I believe that's when the wheel changed) upscale/sport wheel from a C/K series. My '92 GMC SLE came with one. They are a popular swap in these trucks because they are very comfortable and GM. I have one in my '71 tow truck and also in my '85 Jimmy.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

Thanks, Guys.

I'll be running this one: (In the pic).

But I went ahead and ordered a horn ring for the 88-94 so I have a complete replacement for whenever or for whomever needs a new wheel.
What's another fifteen bucks when I'm so buried already?

I appreciate the help.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

Sorry. I pulled out the wheel this morning. Can't find a mfg's brand on it anywhere. Maybe it's under the horn ring.

Italian.

It was the subject of this post, post #6.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

the wheel you ask about has the same fit for a GMC or Chevy horn button sell on CL here for 40 bucks you pick the horn button you want. I'd like one like you are going to use.

Re: Is This Just a Stocker?

The stock wheel was on C/K trucks 88/94 Astro/ Safari vans and S/T trucks and blazer/jimmys. With the upper trim levels the highest trim had leather[fake?] wrapping and red stripes in the center of the cap. A lot of people might overlook the van angle so if your looking for thoses type of wheels[ I probably threw away 30 or 40 back in the day when I dealt in Silverado trucks] in the pick apart yards. They are nice looking and very comfortable
