Holley Fuel Pump

Hi Everyone,

I'm installing a red holley fuel pump on my 67 C10. I wired up a Oil Pressure Safety switch so it won't run with the engine off, but when I finished the wiring and hooked up the battery the fuel pump turns on and doesn't go off even though it's not supposed to turn on until the engine has oil pressure.

Maybe I hooked it to the wrong starter terminal. Which one does it go on?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I did wrong here? Why is the pump always on?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Holley Fuel Pump

do you have it wired to a ignition 12v lead?
or a battery 12v?

I have the oil pressure switch wired to a switched 12v source. I have the red wire from the relay to wired to the battery.

Maybe I wired it on the wrong starter terminal. Which starter terminal is only hot during cranking (stupid question, but...)?

I used a summit racing fuel pump relay kit and a holley oil pressure safety switch.

Thank you!
