C10 Floor supports?

Hello I am new to the forum but was wondering if someone here can help me. I am looking at a particular 71 c10 and I noticed what appears to be cab floor support rust on the drivers side floor, which connects to the cab mounts. Actually the rust is so severe that the support is almost gone in some portions. My questions are can this be repaired and would this require new floors or just the floor supports? Any idea of cost? If someone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: C10 Floor supports?

Most likely if the supports are that bad there will be areas on the floor that will need to be replaced as well. Anything can be repaired it just depends on how much time and money you plan on putting into and what you plan on doing with the truck. If the supports are that bad though take a look at others in your area (not sure what state you are in). Unless you are in the southwest you will most likely find rust on anything you find. Parts can be relatively cheap. The rest is up to you on self performing or hiring out. Labor is where the dollars add up fast.

Thanks. The truck is in NJ and there is some rust coming through the rockers.
