Wiring Harness replacement

I'm doing a complete frame off retro/mod on a 1983 1/2 ton GMC and am considering replacing the entire wiring. Looking for anyone's comments on a complete wiring replacement. Have you used one, recommend a certain brand over another, etc...
I've looked at the painless wiring harness but am unsure as to what I need.

Depending on what you're looking to replace I might be able to help. I build engine, front lighting and power window/lock harnesses. I'm working on offering replacement harnesses for both 1990-91 Burban/K5 and 88-91 Conversion van power mirror harnesses. PM if interested.

81-87 power window/lock harness w/AUTO express down
81-87 power window/lock harness wAUTO express up/down
1973-80 OEM truck/K5 style front lighting harness
1973-80 truck/K5 front lighting harness w/relay upgrade
