Granny 3 speed swaps?

Looking to swap to get more speed on the highway. What is the most cost effective way to do this? IF it's as easy as getting a 5speed out of a newer 4x4 chevy that would be awesome. Not wanting to regear either. It's going in an 84 k30 with a big block

I guess I'm stuck with it unless I go with an auto?

Re: Granny 3 speed swaps?

The GM NP208 and GM NP241RHD bolt right up. The RHD 241 is scarce most of the 241 you'll find are LHD applications in the 88-01 T400 CK chassis.
I used a brand new surplus US Government NP208.
