C20 to C10 Spindle questions

I bought spindles from Summit in the closeout section for $75, as I'm wanting to got to 5 bolt disc brakes, figured I wouldn't have to change my cross member this way. I assume the balljoints and maybe tierods are difference between the 1/2 and 3/4 ton. I also have access to a whole frt suspension from an '84 c10 so I can use any parts off that too. I'm just looking for some help deciding the best way to do his swap. Thanks

I guess my basic question (sorry, no answer) is this - 3/4 ton spindles are designed for a 3/4 ton truck and 1/2 ton spindles for a 1/2 ton. I, personally, wouldn't be confident putting a lower gvwr-related spindle on a higher gvwr capable truck. Based on the 1/2 and 3/4 tons I've had, I THINK (hopefully someone will say this is not the case) that the 3/4 ton spindle has a larger diameter. While I realize you must not be planning on hauling anything significant if you're stepping down to 1/2 ton stuff, I guess the overall truck gross weight would be what I'd wonder about relative to the spindle size. If GM made them bigger, they did so for a reason. Before you let me completely poop in your cheerios, please let someone else chime in on the beefiness, or lack thereof, of the 1/2 ton spindle compared to the 3/4 ton. I think the 3/4 heft is a lot to give up for 5 lug disks, when there are tons of 8 lug 3/4 ton disk setups lying around the junkyards. What year is your truck? Are you doing this for disks, as stated, or, ultimately for wheel selection?

It is a '69 C20. I'm planning on making a 1/2 ton, I won't be hauling anything with it, and going to disc brakes and wheel selection is my reason for this. Thanks for the help
