stick to auto swap
Hey guys,this has probably been covered before ,Im planning on putting a 700r4 in my 65 shortbed stepside, that now is a 327 with muncie 318 3speed stick ,373 rear end.I have a 65 c10 auto cross member, gona run a ididit colum,lokar shifter and kick down,what else do I need? any replys thoughts are welcome! anybody done this lately? what would be best converter, its a stock cam and 2bbl single exhaust Thanks cv65

You will need these parts as well.
auto flex plate auto starter radiator with trans fluid cooler torque converter lockup kit you will need to have the drive shaft shortened correct drive and driven gears for trans so speedometer works correctly

I think the 700R4 crossmember bolt holes are father rearward than on your stock auto crossmember.
Make or buy trans cooler hard lines Proper TV cable and carb bracket. Set-up is critical! Dipstick & housing and a way to mount the housing to the engine T/C dust cover Modulator connection to manifold vacuum source Back-up light switch Park/Neutral safety switch Your stock 2bbl engine will work best with a stock lock-up T/C. Transtar is a good source. See page 24 here: http://www.transtar1.com/download.as...talog_2012.pdf I bought a TH350 (non-lock-up) T/C from them for approx $65 exchange. It has a 4-year/48,000 mile warranty.

Also you will have to shorten the drive line.
