AL WTB: 1956 1 ton 3800 fender emblems - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have a rare 1956 Chevy 1 ton 3800 series pickup that is a factory V8, deluxe model truck that actually came with a factory Hydramatic Automatic transmission if you can believe it. Adding to the oddity, it has the 9 ft stepside bed and single rear wheels. Most 1 tons have a flatbed and I would say 99% are equipped with manual transmissions.

I have decided to save it so I am going to need to locate at least a drivers side 3800 series emblem - I would buy both though. My truck has its Pass side 3800 emblem, but its badly pitted - would like to find some not to far gone to replate.

So check your local yards and backyards for those long-forgotten 1 tons no one wanted or that are so stripped no one ever gives them a second glance, and see if you can find me some decent 3800 emblems. I do not need the front spears that say "Chevrolet" because mine are the special ones that have "Chevrolet Hydramatic" written in them instead of just Chevrolet. Just need the 3800 pieces - they are a separate piece as shown below
