47-55.1 1947 Rocker Panels

OK....so I am planning to fix the rust bucket Swiss Cheese cab....too much sentimental value for my wife in it to replace the cab. My first question:
Which rocker panel is LH, and which is RH? Since the old ones are rusted to death, I can't tell which is which, and the stickers are no longer on them. I ASSUME the large holes in one end go toward the front....
THEN.....where do the front pillars weld onto them? Again - I ASSUME it is onto the flat spot just ahead of the rib. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

pics. you gotta send pics of the parts and area you are talking about.
right and left are always from sitting in the driver's seat, not that that is relevant to your question.
also, rocker panels mean different things to different guys. some call the step a rocker panel. others call the part under the door the rocker panel and still others call the bottom of the actual door a rocker panel. that's why pics will always help when asking questions. a pic of the part and a pic of the area in question.

Agreed that left and right are from sitting in the drivers seat looking forward..
