Door handle gaskets?
Are the repro door handle gaskets total junk (I have a couple of sets I planned on using)? I see how much the NOS gaskets for so I'm just curious, should I be watching for NOS ones to replace the repros I have?
I find myself using a mishmash of repro stuff , NOS, and good used myself.

I'll concede that different versions of aftermarket gaskets may exist but those I've held are thin and flimsy. They may seat but I question their efficacy over the long term. The GM gaskets are notably thicker, seem to have maybe an asphalt component if I recall, and use an adhesive backing. There's no comparison in terms of the quality of the GM pieces.

Seth at quality classic parts just made some original style thickness and adhesive backs. Don't remember how much but they looked good

I make my own out of inner tubes. No need in buying them. In a few years I will cut new ones and replace them no big deal. My truck is inside, it should be a long time before I need to make new ones. I've never needed to glue them.
