Re: Blazer wins again

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t on this quest to make mine nice. It would be so much fun to just rally around as a hunting rig! Maybe I need another

Thumbs up Re: Blazer wins again

The "other vehicle" was more of a competitor to a Jeep CJ5 or IH Scout. In just about every metric, the Blazer smoked it. The only downside to the larger sized Blazer is off road maneuverability.

Smile Re: Blazer wins again

I'm probably going to step on some toes here but i'm guessing the blazer was posi front and rear and the bronco was open both ends. i owned a bronco with 4:10s and posi front and rear and it would climb almost anything, it didn't like snow/ice and soft mud with posi front it wouldn't turn in the soft stuff, it plowed straight ahead. my 72 super K20 was also posi front and rear with 3:73s and would go almost anywhere too, just couldn't fit in tight spots the bronco could. i really like them both and they both performed quite well in the mountains here in the sierras. just my 2 cents.
my dad has owned 4x4s since the early 50s and i learned to drive in his 70 stepside 4x4, until he stopped driving several years back he could still scare the he!! out of me where he could put a truck and get back out.

Yeah, it looked like the game was rigged.

Re: Blazer wins again

Tried to reply to Dirtscoots.
here is mine, I use it every day. 2000 corvette LS swap. Go wheelin in it, use it for work unless i have to carry a bunch of weight then its the f350. I love this thing, everyone tells me not to paint it or do the body work lol. its hard not to but I dont have to worry about scratching up a beautiful Blazer.

I would get rid of any body rot, then try to match the patina the best that you can.

Re: Blazer wins again

I was going to do that but now i cant find the pieces to replace it. They used to sell the body parts/panels/plugs where teh rust is notorious (as you can see) that you can weld on instead of having to buy the whole quarter panel. I have searched and searched LMC doesnt have them anymore either. any ideas on this?
