Yeah, look out!

I prefer GMC's because they are a little rarer and........... to me they look more like a truck (if that makes sense).

Re: man the chevy's men, gmc's are taking over!!!!

Just found my latest and jumped on it for how rare it is, then I see quite a few in the week to come! None the less they are so cool. I have always preferred the GMC look over all the eras. Also the fact that less people have them and are harder to come by plays a role in my love for them. I eventually plan to own a 51 to go with my 61 and 71 and maybe eventually a decade or two before and after. Not dissin you chevy guys in the slightest just gotta prefer the GMC looks and heavier duty heritage. All All the way, after all we are professional grade!

I like the rarity, too. I like that the grille is a little more designed than the Chev, but I don't like how the dash is way under-designed.

Re: man the chevy's men, gmc's are taking over!!!!

Truthfully, I have my GMC because the price was right- I was actually looking for a Chevy, but couldn't pass up the deal I got.

My sisters '65 Chevy -R.I.P- (the truck, not the sister) was the nostalgic reason for the purchase. 1/2 ton,350, powerglide, camper shell on the back, I went camping all over in that truck for years. It was a constant companion through my childhood.

But I love mine- I love the 4 headlights and the grille. I love the 8lugs, the 250, the drum brakes, the manual steering, the granny low 4speed, even the 4.56 gears.

I'm partial to fleetsides and longbeds, but I like every one of these trucks that I see, whether lifted or slammed, stock or wild, farm truck or trailer queen, GMC or Chevy.

General Motors has not built a truck that I wouldn't own!

BTW the GMC grill area is called "The Barbell" for obvious reasons. I learned that little bit of info from Jolly's site.

Re: man the chevy's men, gmc's are taking over!!!!

......I have always dug the 62-66 GMC hoods because the center is more prominent and the cat-eye turn lenses are really cool. I would love one for the pick-up but cant seem to have cash and the hood at the same time...I'm sure you all know the feeling.

Old Grandpa always said that the difference between a Chevy and a GMC was that the GMC factory used lock washers. A GMC would last longer on the farm

We need to find a cool slogan to bash Chevies, since us GMC guys are still outnumbered.... Like "Keep the 2 headlights in the bedroon, save the 4 headlights for the street. GMC.

My 61 Chevy has four headlights ...and a great looking grille if you ask me:

Though I do dig the "barbells." Which is why I made mine sorta a mix of the two:

Now I don't have to worry about the Chevy vs. GMC debate. Especially since I still have the better dash and hood
