Rubber tailgate bumpers
Where do the rectangular rubber bumpers install? Do the straps that support the tailgate rest on top of the bumpers when the gate is closed? Or, are the bumpers off to the side of the straps? Any advice or pics?
Thanks |

Re: Rubber tailgate bumpers
They install below the hinge mounting point on the fender. The little round rubber bumpers install above that hinge point. Here's a couple pics.

Re: Rubber tailgate bumpers
Thankyou cericd.
When the gate is closed will the arms rest on the face of the bumper where the screw is inserted or will the arms contact the bumper 90 degrees to that face? It seems like my bumpers are too thick and the arms are now touching the gate when closed. |

Re: Rubber tailgate bumpers
When the gate is fully closed, I can't tell for sure but as the gate closes, at least part of the hinge comes in contact with the face of the bumper. Here are the best pics I could get.
