Thumbs up 67 Build / Independent Front Suspension

Progress update for installing the IFS front end. This has to be one of the more involved mods I have done. Because of engine placement and clearence issues this has been a chop, cut rebuild install. If you have followed the air scoop design that was posted then enjoy the developement. In order to fit a 402 BB Chevy with such a large air intake under the hood the motor has to go down. In effect this changes crossmember heigth thus effecting wheel ride height. Header clearence became a issue and the camber had to be at zero degrees so cutting and relocating the top A-arm horns was more than simple. Maybe this helps anyone thinking about doing this to see that much planning is key before you execute the work. Is it all worth it? Of course, the loss of about 800 pounds from the front end and lowering the mass weight of the Big Block closer to the ground will put the drive on rails like a slot car. In the next couple weeks the IDidIt steering and shaft install will get posted.
