Don't rule out your optispark as the problem. Problems with the cheap aftermarket units on the LT1s are very common even when they're new. Try a GM unit if the budget allows. When these cars come into my repair shop I generally get a replacement from the chevy dealer to prevent this kind of problem. Just something to consider. Don't give up. That tahoe is entirely too awesome to steal parts from. (Although the truck is awesome too) -Russ
