so ive got this 6.0L block at home....

iron gm 6.0 block, just the block. i want to put it together for a motor to put in my truck till i do the full engine build (ive got another block for that).

is it worth trying to locate stock assembly parts for rebuild, or better off going for aftermarket/stroker rebuild? can i stroke without boring? ive got some 317 heads, some 853 heads, stock 6.0 camshaft(told its same as ls1?), stock 6.0 pushrods and rockers, cpl truck intakes with tb's, most everything to put one back together minus a rotating assembly.

im not looking for big power, a reliable 300-350hp would be enough. more for fuel economy and reliability than anything, will be used for prolly few yrs till i build the turbo motor.
