Re: 1983 Chevy lwb slow build

I'm torn about what to do to the truck after the engine. I could get the 700r4 transmission rebuilt with a shift kit and a stall converter, or I could get a posi and put in the rear end as it is and open rear end right now, OR I could cut the frame and convert it into a swb, which is what I've always wanted to do to it.

What is your opinion on what I should do? If I convert it to a short bed, should I do fleetside or stepside? I've always kind of liked the look of stepsides, but I also like fleetside!
