GMC 4000...? or 5000 series....Pictures...it's about time...

Okay.....got the camera download thing taken care of..

Here's a few pic's of my latest barn find.....
I really like this thing.....Really nice shape....a few options.....and she's a great truck.....
I'm thinkin the feller that spec'd this truck was gonna be the guy driving it...

The serial # is A40005F39518E...
Which translates to a 4000series with an 84" whb and air brakes ...etc....etc,,mine was lengthened by the factory to the required length depending on the spec.
It also has heavy front and rear axles & springs....and the extra wide, 5000 series, front fenders.
I'm dont know if it's a 4000 or a 5000 series, fer sure.

Mines got an eighteen foot OE oak bed with "Rope Rails"....for Agg, or Hay haulers....I'll show pic's later on...
The interior is sweet...very good shape....with duall air rides...(I'm sure he had to look long and hard to get these installed)...He had to have the floorboards dropped under the seat mounts just to keep the head from being crammed into the top once ya got them pumped up....Nice fab-work.
