1969 Chevy C10 Project (Houston, TX)

Hey guys,
I'm a newbee to old trucks. I guess I'd have to say a newbee to DIY vehicles as well. Thought I'd dive right in by trading my daily driver (03 chevy silverado) for this 1969 Chevy C10 (Long Bed).

Well, it's my first old truck and I'm so glad to have it in my possession. Guess I made the jump because of all the memories from riding in my grandfather's old 1972 truck. Those were the best days as a kiddo.

Anyway, here are some details on my new (old) truck:

383 stroker
hydraulic cams
roller rockers
aluminum heads
aluminum intake
650 edlebrock carb
b&m shifter
350 turbo trans
locked rear-end
22 gallon fuel cell in bed

I need to find out how to manuever through this site to find out how to move the B&M shifter from the tree and also how to fix the timing. Every time I kill it, the engine continues for 15 seconds or so.

Well, glad to be here. Anyone else in the Houston area?

FYI - I plan on trying to restore this with my sone (ages 7 and 8).
