86 K5 marker and dash lights not working

The headlights, turn signals, and hazard lights work but the marker lights and dash lights will not light up. I replaced the headlight switch and connector. I have pulled every light out and checked grounds.
The guy who owned it before me had cut some wires and I don't know if they have anything to do with it. He cut a yellow,a grey and a brown wires behind the radio and ran the yellow to an after market radio. He also cut a orange and a white wire underneath the dash near the fuse block. The marker lights and dash lights used to work with the old headlight switch when you would pull the rod in between the marker light and headlight section but if it was moved to marker lights or headlights the marker lights and dash lights would go out.
Also the fuel gauge doesn't work and the oil pressure gauge only works sometimes.
