New steering parts rebuild and it still wanders.

I just done a disc brake conversion on my 67 c-10.I used the stock height spindles and steering linkage from a donor 72 GMC.I replaced all the worn parts on the steering linkage. The steering sector is tight with no wear.
After getting it all done I took it to my local front end alignment shop and get it aligned. The frontend guy is very experienced and gets a good name on old stuff. The truck is lowered about 4-5" done by cutting front stock springs. The rear springs and F&R shocks were bought as a kit.
I am disappointed on how the truck drives because it wanders like it did before I replaced all the worn steering parts.
Someone said if you lower a truck without using front drop spindles it causes steering geometry to be off causing driving problems.Do you think this is my problem?Or do I complain to my frontend guy?
