Building a new shop - pre-fab steel building
After far more time than I had ever hoped, I'm finally getting ready to build a new shop. Just as soon as the town finishes my paperwork
![]() Anyways, details: 32'x52'x12' eaves with a 52'x'12' free span carport behind. ![]() It'll be over a slab, of course. The first bay is going to be built out as a full bath, utility room (for HVAC, air compressor, etc), and then an "office" - which will mostly be a clean work space for electrical, manuals, and so on. And then above that, enclosed / dehumidified storage for parts! In the process of all of this, I ended up picking up this little guy on the local craigslist: ![]() Which was fortuitous, because I ended up needing it to unload! ![]() 14,625lbs according to the bill of lading. Anyways, the building itself arrived in kit form Thursday. I purchased the whole assembly, including sheathing, doors, insulation and hardware, from Kentucky Steel Buildings, out of (surprise) Winchester, Kentucky. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Stay tuned, hoping to have the permits all sorted out this week and concrete going in sometime this month ![]()
