MI-Rear Coil Springs:

Getting ready to lower the rear of my 69 by changing the rear coils springs. I was asked yesterday as to why not just start by cutting the old springs in half with a saws all first? It seems like once the truck was jacked up with some of the tension off that would be one way to do it if you didn't want the original springs anymore. Has anyone done this?
