The GMC V6

I am going to build my Dad a motor for his Christmas/B-Day gift.

Besides the usual small blocks I found out again about the GMC 305 V6. As it has never been in a vehicle I own.

The engine will go into a Model A hot-rod, and my Dad is fine with a 283 or 305 on power. As he likes the sound of a V8 revving up.

Would the GMC V6 fit into a Model A easily due to its wider angle?

By chance how does one sound with straight pipes?

I think it would be cool since it is not a belly button engine, and he is game on it.

Thoughts?
