Rear fuel tank without removing bed

I built brackets and installed a Camaro tank but I'm not happy with how low it hangs. My bed floor is in rough shape and I really don't want to try to move it because it's going to turn into a bed restoration. Had anybody installed a blazer tank or a fuel cell without removing the bed? I don't mind putting in and dropping a few times to get the fitment right.
