It sounds like you know what you are doing when painting parts how they hang. Your method is a lot less work, as long as you don't scratch anything.
I agree the soft edge makes a huge difference. Like I said, I'm gonna give it a go my way. If when I bolt it all together I see a difference in the panels then I'll scuff and shoot. Fingers crossed I don't have to though.
