Thanks guys! I bought the fender fillers for the 94+. You might be able to make the older ones work, but if I remember right, they weren't that expensive.

Yes, you will need the following:

Grille
Side marker lenses
Headlights (If work truck, or want to get rid of the stepped lights)
Fender filler panels
Grille to bumper filler panel
2 Center bumper brackets
**I used 3/4" spacers on 2 mounts, and 1/2" on the center one for the filler panel**
**1/4" bolts to hold the filler panel**

Awesome thanks for the info.With all the reading I been doing about it,it was never mentioned I needed spacers so thanks for the extra details, makes a huge difference when trying to get it done.

Not at the moment. I would like to do a kit for it, but at the time being I am just running out of time, as I want to start on my burn project. That, and I am already invested waaaaay too much into this truck already. lol

Yes, paint can be a long process! My buddy did the shaving work on the tailgate and roll pan, then had Maaco spray the rest. This is a budget daily driver build for me, so didn't want to do a expensive paint job. It came out great.... not show quality, but for the cost and turn around I am happy with it.

Before taking it in, I stripped almost everything I could. Took out the handles, door seals, mirrors, grille, etc.

I've wondered about doing a paint job that way. Did you have them do all the prep work or did you do it yourself? Was the price reasonable for a color change?

They did all the prepping, sanding, masking & primer. They masked Ok and some areas that could have done better, but had to consider the cost of the job, and be reasonable on my expectations. They even pulled the bed completely off to get all behind the cab and front of bed at no charge. The jambs were extra and surprisingly they sprayed all under the hood which I wasn't expecting. They did not have to spray the engine bay (just hood jambs), since I sprayed that all black previously.

The clear was peeling on the truck. They DA'd the whole thing, primed the complete truck, did final blocking on the tailgate and roll pan, painted all jambs.... for $3,200. That included the extra booth time they charged me for having some small pieces removed from the truck. Like the grille, handles, mirrors, etc. Would have been just under $3,000 without the final blocking on the tailgate and roll pan. This is a 2-stage base/clear paint as well.

I priced it out with some other companies, and paint is not cheap. Of course, I understand you do get what you pay for. I just couldn't justify a $8,000 paint job on this truck. Paint is expensive, and rightfully so when you consider all the time in blocking, gapping, for a high quality show paint job. Best of all, they did this all in 2 weeks, and can't beat that.

Very awesome! cant wait to see the completed pictures! I've had a show truck painted once and honestly I don't think I would ever spend that kind of money on paint again, it made the truck so much less enjoyable. Pics so far look great!

Ok, I couldn't wait longer. lol
I still have the wheels to clean and put on the front air damn, and finishing assembling the interior. They forgot to paint the bumper end caps, and bumper when I originally picked it up. No big deal, and just got them today. They were painted separate and are a smudge darker. So, they will be going back to get re-sprayed to be a right on match.

Thanks man. It would be nice to have one, but trying to trim the budget back where I can. I think the smooth cowls do look good though.
