You have to pull the whole doghouse to fly the engine and tranny as one unit. The 465 is a heavy beast. If you only pull the engine, you can remove the hood and radiator, but making those 3/4 head bolts to the SM465/bellhousing is a cusser. I bought a special 3/4'' squeeze ratchet from Kent's Used Tools, but usually it doesn't quite work.
Depends on how much body dissassembly you want to do. With a 4WD it's even worse. Hi from Tucson.
