wiring from a gmc to a chev
I know that worrying about wiring is a long way off when i am just taking the cab off, but i am trying to see what i need. As you will see in my signature, the '69 will have a '71 front end. Do i need to rewire the whole truck for the Chevy single headlights, or is there a separate harness just for the headlight assembly? Has anyone here done this before? Any brand recomendations?

Since the parking lights and the headlights are whats different between the GMC and Chevy, you could just modify your existing harness. The inner plugs on the GMC harness could be trimmed back and the wire taped for the inner headlights. The parking
light wires may be long enough to use as is, but if you have to you can extend them. Otherwise you can just replace the front harness with a chevy harness. Jim |
