Another Dandy 71 on Craigs

Not mine. But a dandy for sure.
Posted as original inside and out and only asking $2300 looks like a very nice truck for the price to me. Believe me, I'm tempted. Original black plate still on it so the camper special is from California I believe even though it's for sale in Phoenix AZ.
Seller states "noise in motor", so maybe it can be saved and maybe not. Either way still a really nice survivor for the money in my book. Evidence that it probably hauled a camper all it's life as the bed floor is cherry.
Anyhow, just a nice truck I wanted to share with the group.

Re: Another Dandy 71 on Craigs

It looks solid like we never see back this way. That is, unless the truck came from somewhere else. And the price is a steal as around here it would probably be 5k. Of course to buy that one and get it back here you might have 5 k in it. Take travel cost to go check it out and return, then add shipping it back and time involved.

If I lived there I can see the temptation.

For $2300 I would just have a member here (for some consideration) that lives in the area take a gander which folks are nearly always willing to do. Shipping would be well south of $2K if you're patient waiting for a partial and the truck runs and moves. I've moved a few vehicles from remote places out west and never broken $2K for shipping to Milwaukee. It's nearly always cheaper to ship a good rust free project truck than do up a rust bucket from the Midwest!

That will be our plan when we go to find the next project. We drove to the pan handle of Texas to buy and haul home our 48 Burb as it was mostly rust free. Fun four day road trip sure beats a year of fixing rust!

Re: Another Dandy 71 on Craigs

My first thought was to call BS on the paint. When i looked Iat the hood I said to myself self that truck has been painted. I only looked at the first pic then the post replies then back to the ad. I'm NOT bashing the truck but if it was the original paint wouldn't it match the cowl and inside? We aren't talking about a 67 with fawn insides. The streaks on the hood that have turned chalky[ Clear coat degradation]were my clue, but I have been looking at trucks for many years and look for body work prior to the wreck I'm wanting to build. I hate rewrecks they ALWAYS bite me in the butt

I'M Not stating the truck was a wreck. Let me clear that up . I was referring to my work where I build wreck and a twice wrecked truck is always[almost] a problem
