Kool, dual snorkels. Now see if you can run them out of the engine compartment and get some fresh air...I've seen somewhere a company that makes dual snorkel ram air kits. Nice job.

Be better if a GMC, then you could use dryer ducting and lose the inside headlight- instant fresh air scoop.

Compnay is called Ram Air Box...very nice stuff, but alot more expensive then what you created.

 How do you plan on addressing the heat riser needs for cold temp starts?

I have the side cutters like that, aquired them from an electrical friend of mine..

I have wanted to do the same thing for a while now - looks great
 I feel like I'm not getting enought air into my carb when the secondaries open up. For now, I've flipped the air cleaner lid.  It gives me 1/4-3/8" gap all the way around the housing to let in more air.

I want to do the same to my truck, slap a ram air box on top of my 350. Wonder what kinda difference it will make?

Good looking job there. I have thought about doing the same many times in the past, and with the physical size of the caddy engine hogging up all the room, that will probably equate to higher underhood temps...all the more reason to duct in cooler air, and a twin snorcle would be ideal.
As for the cutters/crimpers...I have a snap on version, and I agree, they are the shiznit. |

It's gonna be a long winter, looks like a nice project!I think to be different and not copy, maybe I'll search out a pair of different snorkles. Maybe something from an old Caddy or ???
