Was it a new body style f@rd?

My buddy has a '99 with just dual exhaust done to the 5.4. There's no way on Gods green earth he can touch me in town, but once we hit the highway, it's all over. Once I hit about 90 or so, the short BFGs and the 3.73s work against me. As the tach is pegged at 5500, and he goes whizzing by........d'oh!! Oh well, it's fun till then:p

Dude, with 4.11 you'll take most folks off the line with decent torque, but you'll peter out quickly at oh.....around 70mph unless you build your engine make hp in the higher rpms.

You don't tell what parts you currently have on your engine or what tranny you are running. I'd have to guess fairly stock intake, heads and cam based on getting passed then.

Still, you shouldn't get taken until around 90 or so. Especially by an 80's era Fo$d.
