thanks, cool! id honestly go farther on the "Z" than do the crossmember raise too, this only because when you have the frame cut for the "Z" just move it up another inch and you are there, where if you move the crossmember up you also need to realise you have just changed your front suspension geometry. if you do not raise the steering up the same distance.. you run the chance of bump steer, or unwanted toe in or toe out gains throught the range of motion.
with the "Z" everything stays factory geometry, just raised..
just my 2cents

Re: z'd frame?

my truck has a 4" z and 3" spindles and it lays pinch hard after i trimmed the bottom of the frame on 20"s i think it would still lay on 22s

Re: z'd frame?

GMBowtie is correct. I did the pancake, shortened my stock a-arms 2 inch drop spindles, but I also did a 2 inch Z and SFBD. The frame is all custom but I used the stock front crossmember. That was all to lay on 26's. If you want to go with a smaller wheel, then you will not have to go that drastic. DO IT! Get an extra crossmember or at least know were to get one NOW if you mess up. Measure 10 times, cut once.
