P-47 Thorbecke Brothers Drop Member Kit

With the track width of the drop member, is it better to run a 67-70 rear axle or a 71-72 wider rear axle? Im not trying to tuck 22s or anything. Just some 15x8 rallys. I just want it to look right and not like a prerunner.

Also, any problems or praises for the P-47 system?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Wow! Sensing a little tension here. Not trying to step on toes. Just trying to understand. I haven't bought one yet. Should I not?

Guys lets not get this debate going again. Nate and Jason have agreed to a truce on this subject, and so should we.

wancosc356- I recommend you look at our Vendors websites for tons of information on the subject.

I'm gonna make a "raised-dropmember". It will have the same specs as a factory/stock crossmember.

Nobody but you is going to know what "look right" means... but for specific technical specifications (like track width of the P-47 raised xmember), you really ought to get those from the manufacturer. There are several representatives from SD on the board if you want to direct a PM to one of them for exact dimensions. For the rearend, those dims have been well discussed in this forum, and so a search should get you what you need. Once you have the dims for front and rear, YOU can decide if it's going to "look right" for you.

I have done a search and am aware of the rear track widths. Im asking if anyone has a P-47 and could tell me the front track width?

And I am suggesting you get an accurate value from the manufacturer instead of relying on someone who might put a loose tape measure to one.

That was the first thing I did before posting this. But I have not heard anything back yet. Just thought I would see if anyone else could respond faster. Thank you though for the suggestion.
