Parting Out 80 GMC 15 SB 2WD*

I got this truck for the short bed. The truck is in bad shape. Its a 6 cylinder 250 with a 3 speed manual trans. This truck came stripped down so much that GM didn't bother to include a spid sheet! The interior is thrashed, the wiring harness is hacked, and the body is beat. Let me know if there is any parts you need. Thanks, Ray
engine/tranny $50 local pick up
front suspension $50 local pick up
3 row radiator $40 plus shipping
6 cylinder HEI $40 shipped
carb $35 shipped

Re: Parting Out 80 GMC 15 SB 2WD

I assume because it is a CA truck, the frame is pretty clean? If so, and if you can pull it easily enough, I would be very interested in the frame crossrail assembly that is directly behind the cab...you can see a part of it in the pic below (off my 73 truck). How much do you need for it, and how much would shipping be to 55448? I know the one in my 77 is shot, and I might not need the entire thing...might just need to supports...but I will have to crawl under and take a look. Please let me know if you are OK with pulling it, or part of it and shipping it to MN. Thank you.

OK, thanks...if something changes, please let me know.

You said the wiring is hacked...is the interior wiring hacked, or is it the exterior wiring?

Jeff, The wiring is spliced at the radio and they put in a kill switch under the dash, on the outside, there are some wires fried above the brake m/c. The wires going out to the core support look good. Thanks, Ray

Re: Parting Out 80 GMC 15 SB 2WD

Ray, I would be interested in the entire INTERIOR wiring harness if you can pull it with out damaging it any more than it already is. I need the fuseblock and all. I do not need the engine compartment side of things. Please let me know, and the price too please.

Thank you for the pictures!

You have a deal. Let me know when you get it pulled and how you would like payment. I would prefer to pay once it is pulled and ready to ship, in case anything happens or the harness is damaged more than you currently know about....let me know if that is OK. Thanks.

Ray, the belts will work, I just gotta sell my non-truck fitting Suburban bucket seat belts first.

Thanks Krazy Ray. How much could you do on the following ( I had to add some more to the list):

Brake & clutch pedal assembly w/ linkage
Z bar bracket
Z bar or bell crank (depending on which terminology you use)
Frame side and block side ball studs
Clutch pedal & Z bar or Clutch fork return springs
Upper & Lower push rods

Mike

Yes, I have all of the heater parts, however, the switch that turns the fan on looks to be broken. I'll take a closer look Tues. Thanks, Ray
