Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

So what's included for what price?

1) Spindles
2) brackets
3) Wilwood caliper
4) Slotted rotor
5) Braided brake line
6) dust cap

Can you break down the pricing and the total savings for everything "as pictured"?

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

That's just the D52 Wilwood caliper that will bolt on any other C10 drop spindle without the bracket.

I'm not trying to bust your chops,... just trying to figure out the savings.
Thanks.

You are totally correct, i bought a qty purchase on calipers and i highly doubt anyone can touch us on the caliper pricing. Yes that caliper will fit all kinds of applications no doubt.

I rethought this answer and yes it will bolt to other spindles, but that same "other spindle" will push the wheels out, so its kind of counter productive.

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

Hey Jeff,... When you say "push the wheels out",... compared to what?
Drum brakes? Yes.

Stock disc brakes from 71-87?
How much do the other guys drop spindles push the wheel out in relation to "stock height" disc brake spindles?

Just trying to compare apples to apples.

How much a side do the CPP spindles narrow the track?

1/4" inch per side in from drum brakes and 3/4" in per side in from disc brakes. Thanks

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

I have the modular spindles and CPP upper a-arms, I installed them, put it on the ground then decided to make a few more changes during the "long cold winter". The sprindles are very beefy and look and fit great. I did not however get the fancy brakes, I will be stuck with my "stock" disks. I did the spindle swap from another 2 1/2 inch drop to move the wheels in I would on occasion rub on the inner fender bolts on a dip, nothing bad but I needed to fix it. I think this will give me the necessary clearance and retain my drop.

Dave what you are describing is exactly why this spindle was created. Guys with big wheels and really low trucks the problem get even worse!

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

ok so what can you do for those who already have "regular" spindles? i have a dropmember to take care of my track width issues.
btw my buddies have purchased several parts from you and the only thing that was ever a problem was a hydroboost setup, but just setting it up properly was the issue. I believe it was taken care of already but that was the one thing of literally hundred of parts my friends have ordered from you. We have the luck of being just a 30 minute drive away anyways

Hey bro nice truck. To answer your question i will not give anything for the "old spindles" but like i say right now i will give all board members free brackets for the spindles which should help out. Dont get me wrong some people still use the "old spindles" and dont have issue, the "new spindles" are an upgrade form the old style not a replacement. Let me know how i can help you guys. Give me a call and we will talk. Thanks bro!

No sweat, sorry for the comfusion. We dont make a 13" rotor for the old spindle. The old spindle uses a factory 12" rotor. Thanks

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

Jeff, I want to make sure on this. I have the new modular spindles with the factory rotor, I have not driven this as I making a few changes. This will all work correct?
Well to back up, this is not a factory rotor I changed to a 6 lug disk brake several years ago but believe it to be a replacement only with 6 lugs. everything seemed to fit and I did drive it out and back in the shop but not any more.
Thanks
Dave

Dave as long as you have our bracket with our spindle this should be fine. Also there is no difference in our rotor between the 5 and 6 lug, you are correct. Let me know if you need any other help. Thanks

Nice kit.

Are there any dual piston calipers that will directly bolt onto regular drop spindles (like I already have)? I would but this kit buy I don't want to buy modular drop spindles when I already have a pair of regular drop spindles.

Yes.
The Wilwood D52's in these pics will work.
I got mine from Jegs for $164 each,...
but I think CPPJEFF has a better deal from CPP at $150 each.

Re: CPP Modular spindles with some Wilwood Flavor!

that's good to know. I would not have known that the d52 would have bolted up to our ece drop spindles. may have to look into this in the future. just to be certain these will bolt up to the 72 ece drop spindles as well as 73-87 correct.
