my frame

i plan to use my stock frame and add some extra frame form the parts truck does any body know what my wheel base should be for a short bed crew

You'll have to cut the front burb roof off and reskin it with a piece from the rear.

My wheel base is 148". It all depends on how you set it up. What I would suggest to you is finish the rear cab section prior to building your chassis. Then mock up the bed and see where that puts you.

I didn't build it, I bought it a couple of years ago (story in my build link below). The crew was built from a truck not a suburban. Whoever built it basically cut a truck cab in half and then added 33" in the center. Everything was fabbed, including both rear doors.

Read through this build and it will give you plenty of info on the 4th door mod (along with the post and info that Rob linked above) and 1 way to get rid of the high roof crown.

But first get the cab back in place and squared up before even thinking about cutting into the 4th door.
