Yes - you can shut them off if you have a computer - TECH II, but it voids the warranty because that is a very important part of the body control module / Power Train Control Module, and when you mess with the programs that runs it - and if you later have a problem, the tech will have to reinstall a new program in the body control module and you will pay to have it installed.
