Re: April 2010 TOTM
I nominate 68c15's 68 GMC. He will have to post a picture of it.

it is as Shawn mentioned a 1968 GMC C15 (wonder where my username came from?) summer of 2008 I spent a weekend getting my truck more presentable. trust me, it was worse before. when I made a run to the dump I hooked the bungee cords into rust holes on the bedsides. LOL the only part that is original is the cab and frame. all the other body parts came from various donors. the front suspension and brakes came from an 80 C10. rear suspension from a 71 C10 that was made into a trailer before I acquired it. engine is from a 79 3/4T van (lots of work there). booster is from a 74 C10. TH350 tranny is from the shop floor, I traded a 12 pack of Bud Lite for it then did a rebuild. tilt column was hand made from 3 different columns. seat is out of an 89 F150 as the first pic shows and a few board members can attest to, it is more than capable of working hard and comes back asking for more. somewhere I have a pic of my 5420 pound load of scrap iron headed to the recycler. OK, enough jibber-jabber. how 'bout some pics? oops, I almost forgot the money pic from Bosselman's in DesMoines IA last winter. Last edited by 68C15; 03-17-2010 at 10:23 PM. |
